canvas look-a-like for less

I always have loved the look of the HUGE canvas prints but I did not love the price. If you're like me you do not like to pay out the ear for something if you don't have to, so I got on the miraculous website Pinterest and looked up ideas on making a copy cat canvas print.

First thing you should know is, Staples has a cool, cheap way of getting your prints. It's called "engineering prints".
The sizes are:
18x24-$1.79
24x36-$3.59
36x48-$7.29
The only downside is that you can only get these prints in black and white, but for where I decided to put my collage, it went well with the rest of the room.
You're also going to want some tape, an insulation foam board, spray adhesive, and a knife or razor. The foam board you can buy at a Lowes or home depot, any home improvement store I'm sure.
Okay, on to the tutorial. So first you're going to want to cut the foam board. Make sure to cut at least 1/2 inch smaller than your picture on all 4 sides. I'll tell you why in a second.
Next, you're going to spray the foam with the adhesive, DO NOT over do the spray, this is not a Snookie poof, you do not need a ton. Also, DO NOT spray the picture, it will soak into the paper and ruin your pic. I sprayed mine on the lawn because it is very sticky, sticks to carpet, hair and everything else. Lay the backside of the picture over the sticky side of the board and gently smooth out the lumps.
Flip the whole thing over and crease the edges. Having the foam a little smaller helps the picture look like the canvas print when you fold it over the edges.

Tape the top and then tape the bottom, then the two sides.

To clean the edges up I folded the picture kinda like a Christmas present. Folded the top up and over the side and back. Taping as you go and keeping the picture tight helps.

Then you decide how and where you want to hang the picture! Viola, you're done and you have a beautiful collage for less than 25 dollars! YES!
please let me know what you think. I love feedback and I would love to see what masterpieces you create!
